Little Shock of Horrors

8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Little Shock of Horrors is an opportunity for students to Trick-or-Treat around campus to both new and familiar departments. While there they will learn about the services, programs and resources available to them and pick up a treat, snack, promo item, etc.

Benefits of Participating in this Program

  • Take pictures with students to share on your webpage or social media

Expectations of Departments in this Program

  • Have materials and giveaways for a minimum of 100 student participants (this can be as easy as candy, pencils or promo items, whichever your budget allows
  • Have office staffing from 8:30 - 4:30 p.m. during the hours of which the event is promoted
  • Be prepared with handouts and/or a 'welcome statement' to help students better learn about what you have to offer
  • Keep track of the number of student participants that enter your office
  • Decorate department space in a fun and festive manner

SAC Contribution

  • SAC will update the Little Shock of Horrors webpage with a list of all participating departments and their locations
  • SAC will provide a downloadable Event Map and Print Copies
  • SAC will host at minimum, two information table promoting the event and provide bags and maps
  • SAC will market the event through WSU Today, Shocker Blast, posters, announcements and multiple newsletters
  • SAC will provide a digital version of an 8.5 x 11 poster to print and place in your office to promote the event and to identify your department as a Little Shock of Horrors Location. We can print and deliver per request.
  • SAC will send out a follow up survey to assess the success of the program (plase be able to report the number of participants that came to your office)
