SAC Presents: Virtual Scavenger Hunt
Join SAC in a virtual scavenger hunt. Search high and low for the answers to clues
and report back your findings. The scavenger hunt will take you all over the country to Museums, Zoos, Art Gallerys,
etc. The first batch of clues will be delivered to registered participants on April 15. From there, participants will submit
a screenshot of their findings on ShockerSync to receive the next set of clues. Participants that make it to the final stage and submit
all correct answers will be entered to win a pair of AirPod Pros!
Welcome to our first Virtual Scavenger Hunt!
Once you have registered you will receive your first set of clues on April 22.
Clues
Clues and their answers vary, and may be fill in the blank, short answer, or even
screenshots and selfies. Once you have gathered your answers for each round, submit
them on ShockerSync with the links provided on the clue pages. Once submitted, you
will receive a confirmation email with the next set of clues. There will be a total
three stops that you can complete at your own pace.
Deadline to Submit Answers: May 6
You can opt out at any time by not submitting the form on ShockerSync. All submissions
are due by April 30 at 5pm. Remember you must complete all the stops and have correct
answers to all clues to be entered into the drawing.
Things to Consider
- All of the experiences can be completed from smartphones, tablets or computers. All
require internet connection.
- Some of these interactions will require cookies, downloading of an app, flash player,
or media player technology, may display ads (not endorsed by Wichita State University)
as well as the use of your device’s screen shot technology.
- Some smart phones will allow screenshots by holding down specific buttons on your
device. Refer to your phone/tablet manual if you are unsure how to use this feature.
All computers have a “printscreen” (prtscn) button on the keyboard (but will require
you to paste it into a document). If you can’t take a screenshot….try to take a selfie!
I am here to answer questions or pose alternatives if technology issues come up. Another
tip is that these tours are done through highly detailed cameras and you can zoom
in to read the signage.
Eligibility
- You must be a WSU Student to win, but anyone can play.
- You must have your own access to supplies necessary to participate.
If you are selected as the winning participant, you may have the option to have your
prize shipped to you, if you live in the USA, or to pick it up in Student Involvement
once campus is open and fully functioning (Fall 2020 or later).
If you submit your forms before May 4, you will receive notification of correct and
incorrect answers, giving you a chance to resubmit with the correct answer.
