Description
The Liberal Arts and Sciences LLC is a community for students in the Fairmount College
of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Students in the LLC will have the opportunity to explore
a wide range of academic interests and career opportunities, and network with students
who will go on to major and work in a wide range of disciplines and industries.
Why Join?
The Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is the largest and most diverse
college on campus. Joining the LLC will give you an opportunity to get connected with
a wide range of students and build skills that will translate to any future career
choices.
Eligibility
Students must declare an LAS major. Students are encouraged to enroll in LASI 150D:
Major and Career Path Exploration. Students are expected to attend monthly events
and be actively engaged in the LLC. Limited to incoming first year students.
Goals:
- To connect with other students within the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
- Build positive relationships through interactions with faculty members and administrators.
- Participate in intentional cocurricular community building experiences that will build leadership skills and career readiness.
Programming Includes
- Events to build leadership and workplace skills
- Social events to connect with LLC members and the Wichita community
- Community Service opportunities
