Banners on Display

On display around campus

Cost: Free

Students competing in the Shocktoberfest spirit competition have decorated banners celebrating Shocker Pride. Banners are on display around the interior of campus through Sunday, Oct. 6. Winning banners will be announced at Shocker Madness.

Door Decorations on Display

Cost: Free

Shocker themed doors decorated by individual faculty/staff, departments, and on-campus residents are on display around campus through Friday, October 4. Decorations celebrate Shocker pride with the vision of "Blast from the Past." Awards will be announced at Shocker Madness.


MONDAY,  SEPTEMBER 30

Shocktoberfest Kick-off

Monday, Sep. 30 | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
RSC North Patio

Cost: Free

Join your fellow Shockers to kick-off a week of celebration and Shocker Pride. The Shocktoberfest Kick-off event features music, food, activities, and giveaways. Students will receive a free Shocktoberfest T-Shirt while supplies last.

Bonfire

Monday, Sep. 30 | 7:30 - 9 p.m.
Braeburn Square

Cost: Free

Revel in the spirit of Shocktoberfest with WSU Cheer, Marching Band and a few of your favorite athletes. This event will be located in the lawn east of Braeburn Square near Oliver. Access the event from the bridge between Fuzzy's and Social Tap.


TUESDAY, OCTOBER 1

Shocker Make & Take

Tuesday, Oct. 1 | 11 a.m. (while supplies last)
RSC 1st Floor

Cost: Free to students with WSU ID

Stop by to DIY your own Shocker themed Make & Take. This event is exclusive to WSU Students, limit one per student. Available while supplies last.


WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 2

SGA sponsored Night at Chicken N Pickle

Wednesday, Oct. 2 | 6-9 p.m.
1240 N. Greenwich Rd.

Cost: Free

We're taking Shocktoberfest off-campus with a Night at Chicken N Pickle. Students will have access to free games, pickleball, non-alcoholic beverages and food while it lasts. Transportation will be provided and will depart from campus every 20 minutes. Locations to be announced.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 3

The Corn Roast

Thursday, Oct. 3 | 4 - 6 p.m.
Heskett Center + Wilkins Stadium

Cost: Free to students w/ WSU ID

The Roast livens up the heart of campus with music, food and games. Event attendees have the opportunity to enter a drawing for a $100 Amazon Gift Card, prize packages and more. There will be live music performing classic, modern hits, and originals that range from country to classic rock. Food is a big part of The Roast, and we will be serving up grilled corn on the cob with custom butters.

This casual and fun-filled gathering promises an unforgettable evening to connect with Shocker Nation. Enjoy deals from our vendors, food trucks, games and music. Students in attendance will receive a ticket for a free treat of their choice from one of our participating sponsors.

Outdoor Movie: Disney's Cars

Friday, Oct. 4 | 8 p.m.
Cessna Stadium

Cost: Free admission

Join us at the historical Cessna Stadium for a special viewing of Disney Pixars family classic Cars. Bring your blankets, camp chairs and make yourself comfortable on the field. Popcorn is provided and outside snacks are welcome. About the film: Cars is set in a world populated entirely by anthropomorphic vehicles. The film follows a selfish and arrogant young racecar named Lightning McQueen who, on the way to the most important race of his life, becomes stranded in a forgotten town along U.S. Route 66 called Radiator Springs, where he learns about friendship and begins to reevaluate his priorities.

Entrepreneur Market

The inaugural Entrepreneur Market will highlight the many diverse small businesses in our community run by alumni, students and friends! Browse market stalls in Woolsey Hall throughout the morning to explore unique creations while supporting local businesses.

Brew Garden + Fan Fest

Koch Arena East Lot, 2K & 2E

Cost: Free admission

Enjoy an afternoon on-campus filled with beverages from your favorite local vendors. The Shocktoberfest Brew Garden + Fan Fest, in partnership with Shocker Athletics, will fill the alley and parking lot east of Koch Arena with music, breweries, food trucks and fun activities for the whole family!

Shocktoberfest Parade

Saturday, Oct. 5 | 4 p.m.

Cost: Free

Everyone is invited to attend the 2024 Shocktoberfest Parade, the highlight of the weeklong celebration of Shocker spirit and pride. Participants will enjoy entertainment from the Shocker Sound Machine marching band, dance teams, and decorated cars and floats from student groups and community members. 

For the best parade experience, grab a spot along Innovation Blvd, Mike Oatman Dr., or Perimeter Rd. These locations offer great views and are easily accessible.

Shocker Madness

Saturday, Oct. 5 | 6:30 p.m.
Charles Koch Arena

Cost: Free Admission

Fans are invited to a free evening of fun at Charles Koch Arena and a sneak preview of the WSU men's and women's basketball teams at WSU's annual Shocker Madness season kickoff event. The event will also include announcements for individual Shocktoberfest awards and the winning team over the overall trophy. Shocker Madness is a signature event of Shocktoberfest and you won't want to miss it!
