Shocker themed doors decorated by departments are on display around campus through Monday, October 5. Decorations celebrate Shocker pride with the vision of "Building on Tradition." Awards will be announced at Shocker Madness.

Honoring 100 Years of Health Services

Cost: Free
Since 1926, Student Health Services has evolved alongside Wichita State, providing generations of students with access to healthcare, health promotion, resources and support throughout their academic journeys. As the department marks its 100th anniversary, you are invited to view a historical archive exhibit on display in the Rhatigan Student Center Cadman Art Gallery. Join us during Shocktoberfest for a 100th anniversary open house at the Student Wellness Center (Steve Clark YMCA) from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, and then look for us in the parade at 4 p.m.!

Join your fellow Shockers to kick-off a week of celebration and Shocker Pride. The Shocktoberfest Kick-off event features music, food, activities, and giveaways. Students will receive a free Shocktoberfest T-Shirt while supplies last.

CanStruction - CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN
Tuesday, Sept. 29 | 3 p.m.
Shocker Hall Courtyard
The CanStruction design competition features student organizations using canned and non-perishable goods to build structures based on the Shocktoberfest theme "Building on Tradition." Items used to build the structures are donated to the Shocker Support Locker. Any group may participate and student groups competing in the Spirit Competition will earn points towards the Shocktoberfest Trophy.

Revel in the spirit of Shocktoberfest with WSU Cheer, Marching Band, a few of your favorite athletes, and meet the Shocktoberfest Court. This event will be located in the lawn east of Braeburn Square near Oliver. Access the event from the bridge between Fuzzy's and Social Tap.
RAIN PLAN: Activities and music will relocate inside Social Tap. Join us for school pride, food, and a special performance by our very own Shock Rock.

Ulrich Museum of Art - Outdoor Patio
Join us for Shocker Pride. Nationwide. Celebrate the Arts, a spotlight on the creativity, talent and innovation that define the university’s vibrant arts community.
This free, come-and-go event invites students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends to connect, explore and show their Shocker pride while enjoying live performances, interactive experiences and artistic discovery. Enjoy free event t-shirts while supplies last, live music, student performances, student art sale, museum tours, a digital art experience, steamroller printmaking demonstration, cash bar, and complimentary nibbles.
This event serves as the College of Fine Arts' centennial celebration and includes remarks at 4:15 p.m., by Marie Bukowski, dean of the College of Fine Arts. Whether you stay for a few minutes, or the entire evening, celebrate the arts and the creative spirit that makes Wichita State unique.

Shocker Volleyball v. Tulsa

Cost: Free to students w/ WSU ID
Bring the energy and pack the stands for a night built just for Wichita State students. Students in attendance will have the chance to enter an exclusive lottery to win 1 of 200 limited-edition Shockers snapback hats, available only at Shock Block Night. Free Admission with wristband received at registration. All guests will enter at the main entrance to Koch Arena.
Magician Jack Kelly

Jack Kelly is a nationally recognized magician who has been featured on The CW, NBC, FOX, and Kiss 95.1. Jack appeared on the hit primetime show Penn and Teller: Fool Us, where he won season 11 by fooling the legendary magic duo, becoming one of the youngest in series history to achieve this feat. Watch the Shocker Softball Team take on regional foes at Wilkins Stadium as part of its fall exhibition schedule. Fall contests will be 10 innings and feature situational scoring.

Enjoy an afternoon on-campus filled with beverages from your favorite local vendors. The Shocktoberfest Brew Garden + Fan Fest, in partnership with Shocker Athletics, will fill the Corbin Education Center fountain area with music, breweries, food trucks and fun activities for the whole family!

Shocktoberfest Parade

Wichita State University Campus
Cost: Free
Everyone is invited to attend the 2026 Shocktoberfest Parade, the highlight of the weeklong celebration of Shocker spirit and pride. Participants will enjoy entertainment from the Shocker Sound Machine marching band, dance teams, and decorated cars and floats from student groups and community members.
For the best parade experience, grab a spot along Innovation Blvd, Mike Oatman Dr., or Perimeter Rd. These locations offer great views and are easily accessible.
