Door Decorations on Display

Monday, Sep. 28 – Sunday, Oct. 3
Various Locations

Cost: Free

Shocker themed doors decorated by individual faculty/staff, departments, and on-campus residents are on display around campus through Friday, October 4. Decorations celebrate Shocker pride with the vision of "Blast from the Past." Awards will be announced at Shocker Madness.

Shocktoberfest Kick-off

Monday, Sep. 29 | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
RSC North Patio

Cost: Free

Join your fellow Shockers to kick-off a week of celebration and Shocker Pride. The Shocktoberfest Kick-off event features music, food, activities, and giveaways. Students will receive a free Shocktoberfest T-Shirt while supplies last.


TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 29

Shocker Build-a-Friend

Tuesday, Sept. 29 | 11 a.m. (while supplies last)
Two Locations to Choose From

  • RSC 1st Floor
  • Ablah Library

Cost: Free to students with WSU ID

Stop by to DIY your own stuffed bear with custom Shocktoberfest t-shirt. This event is exclusive to WSU Students, limit one per student. Available while supplies last.

CanStruction

Tuesday, Sept. 29 | 3 p.m.
Rhatigan Student Center

The CanStruction design competition features student organizations using canned and non-perishable goods to build structures based on the Shocktoberfest theme "Building on Tradition." Items used to build the structures are donated to the Shocker Support Locker. Any group may participate and student groups competing in the Spirit Competition will earn points towards the Shocktoberfest Trophy. 


WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30

Bonfire

Wednesday, September 30 | 7 p.m.
Braeburn Square

Cost: Free

Revel in the spirit of Shocktoberfest with WSU Cheer, Marching Band and a few of your favorite athletes. This event will be located in the lawn east of Braeburn Square near Oliver. Access the event from the bridge between Fuzzy's and Social Tap.


THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1

Shocker Pride Nationwide: Celebration of the Arts

Wu's Birthday Bash

Friday, Oct. 2 | 5 - 7 p.m.
Braeburn Square

Cost: Free admission

Wu's Birthday Bash celebrates the nation's coolest mascot! Enjoy deals from our vendors, food trucks, face painting, games and music. Students in attendance will receive a ticket for a free treat of their choice from one of our participating sponsors.

Shocker Volleyball v. Tulsa

Friday, Oct. 2 | 6 p.m.
Charles Koch Arena

Cost: Free to students w/ WSU ID

Bring the energy and pack the stands for a night built just for Wichita State students. Students in attendance will have the chance to enter an exclusive lottery to win 1 of 200 limited-edition Shockers snapback hats, available only at Shock Block Night.

Magician Jack Kelly

Friday, Oct. 2 | 8 p.m.
CAC Theater

Cost: Free to students w/ WSU ID, $5 for Faculty/Staff and $8 General Public

Jack Kelly is a nationally recognized magician who has been featured on The CW, NBC, FOX, and Kiss 95.1. Jack appeared on the hit primetime show Penn and Teller: Fool Us, where he won season 11 by fooling the legendary magic duo, becoming one of the youngest in series history to achieve this feat.

Cost: Admission is free for WSU students with Shocker ID and $5 at the gate for the general public.

Watch the Shocker Softball Team take on regional foes at Wilkins Stadium as part of its fall exhibition schedule. Fall contests will be 10 innings and feature situational scoring.

Brew Market

Saturday, Oct. 3 | 3 - 6 p.m.
Wichita State University - Corbin Education Center

Cost: Free admission

Enjoy an afternoon on-campus filled with food, drink, and crafts from your favorite local vendors. This family friendly campus experiences will feature music, breweries, food trucks and fun activities for Shockers of all ages!

Shocktoberfest Parade

Saturday, Oct. 3 | 4 p.m.
Wichita State University Campus

Cost: Free

Everyone is invited to attend the 2026 Shocktoberfest Parade, the highlight of the weeklong celebration of Shocker spirit and pride. Participants will enjoy entertainment from the Shocker Sound Machine marching band, dance teams, and decorated cars and floats from student groups and community members. 

For the best parade experience, grab a spot along Innovation Blvd, Mike Oatman Dr., or Perimeter Rd. These locations offer great views and are easily accessible.
