Welcome back to campus! The 26-27 school year is off and going! Students are back on campus and instructors, admin, and everyone in-between is busy keeping up with all that's new. As always, the new life buzzing on campus is energizing for those of us on campus year-round, but for those of you returning from a summer hiatus may feel like there is much to be done even as week one is officially in the books. Don’t worry, you’ve got this, and we have some resources for you to lean on as you begin another great year!

The SS26 Teaching Tomorrow issue acts as a reflection pulling together key ideas from this year's ARC, focusing on AI, accessibility, and student success. Throughout, I've included videos from conference sessions to highlight the perspectives and moments that stood out most to me. Rather than offering clear answers, this piece explores the tensions, questions, and shared themes that emerged during the ARC. This issue invites you to reflect on your own approaches to AI, student success, and accessibility as we move into the next academic year.

We are exploring teaching strategies that help learning move beyond content coverage and into meaningful action. Active and applied learning center students as participants, not just observers, by asking them to engage with ideas through practice, reflection, and real-world connections. January 2026 (Sway Link)	Getting ready for a new semester... This January, I wanted to create an issue that contains resources, links, and ideas to help support the start of a semester as well resources to help support small changes you may be trying to implement. As you explore this issue, I encourage you to think of those small (not big) meaningful changes you may want to make in your course. Making big changes is overwhelming, and once a semester starts, we are in for the ride. My goal with this issue is to provide you with ideas to help support those small changes as opposed to big changes.

October 2025 (Sway Link)	Teaching Tomorrow Official Relaunch! As we worked to officially relaunch our monthly teaching publication, we thought, what better month than October? Traditionally, October has always been our "Digital Transformations," and with our new focus on technology, this was the perfect month. This issue focuses on quite a bit, but has an emphasis on AI tools and accessibility as well as additional information about our relaunch.
November 2025 (Sway Link)	Being Mindful in the Midst of Busy Semester The second issue of Teaching Tomorrow takes a closer look at mindfulness in various positions and areas around campus. This month we focused on what mindfulness looks like for students as well as instructors and what it might look like in the classroom. One of my favorite sections is Madi DeFrain's where she has provided specific applicable strategies to use in your classroom.
December 2025 (Sway Link)	December Grab Bag This month, I wanted to create a "grab bag" of sorts. I reached out to various instructors to gather different assignments, activities, and strategies they use in their classroom. The goal is to get a glimpse into what others are doing in their classrooms and possibly take some of the strategies to use or experiment within your own classrooms. Additionally, I hope to feature various strategies and activities in future issues. Take a look at section 7: Teach it Forward if you would like to share something from your class.
