Make Sure You Have Completed the Checklist
When to Show Up
Please check-in at Koch Arena starting 1 hours prior to the start of your ceremony.
Where to Enter
Graduates will enter through the Koch Arena Ticket Office. Please have your GradPass ready to be scanned.
What to Bring
- Graduates must bring their PRINTED Grad Pass to check-in.
- Students should already be wearing their regalia.
- Do not bring personal valuables as there is no way to secure them.
- Bring only what you intend to carry with you for the duration of the ceremony.
- Commencement will be implementing a clear bag policy for all graduates, guests, volunteers, faculty and staff.
Regalia
Masters will self-hood. Doctoral graduates will be hooded on stage.
Tassels
Bachelors/Associates degree candidates: Your tassel should be worn on the right side of your mortarboard until you are told
to move it to the left by the Dean of your college after all graduates have been recognized.
Masters degree candidates: Your tassel should be worn on the left side of your mortarboard as you have already
received a degree.
Processional
Graduates will line up in Aetna Practice Gym for the Processional. Follow the instructions given to you for the processional.
Photography
Graduates will be photographed as they wait to walk across stage and again as they recieved their diploma cover.
Photograph proofs and rate sheets will be emailed to the graduates a few weeks after the event.
During the Ceremony
Graduates will be instructioned on when to get up and walk across the stage to be recognized. Please have your GradPass ready to be scanned as you walk up the ramp. Once your GradPass is scanned, wait until your name is called to walk across the stage. You will walk to the center, receive your diploma, and exit down the center stairs. Follow the center aisle back to your seat.
Diploma Cover
Students will receive a dipolma cover on stage. This will contain an information sheet on how to obtain your diploma.

Recessional
Follow the instructions given to you at the end of the ceremony. Once dismissed, please exit the arena promptly.
