July 1, 2020 - Wichita State University’s 125th Anniversary (Quasquicentennial) celebration begins July 1. Together with the City of Wichita, Wichita State has built a strong and symbiotic partnership. It's a relationship that supplies the lifeblood of a thriving community and makes it possible to provide the most well-rounded education in the region.

June 22, 2020 -- Wichita State University is proud to announce that six National Merit Finalists and seven National Hispanic Recognition Scholars have chosen to attend WSU starting in the Fall 2020 semester.

June 18, 2020 -- This morning, the Kansas Board of Regents approved a 2% tuition increase for Wichita State University for 2020-21. Fees that all students pay will remain flat.   Even with the increase, Wichita State still remains the most affordable research university in the state and one of the most affordable research institutions in the country.

Known as 2+2 agreements, the arrangement allows Cowley students earning an associate of science degree in pre-engineering with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 to be guaranteed admission to WSU upon completion of the appropriate application requirements.

June 11, 2020 -- Wichita State University’s Office of Tech Transfer and Commercialization announces it has received a $37,000 grant, which is awarded to colleges and small businesses in Kansas that are making PPE for health care workers with low supply during the COVID-19 outbreak.
