Monday, Dec. 3, 2018 -- Wichita State University will be closed Wednesday in accordance with Gov. Jeff Colyer's order that state offices close. The governor designated Wednesday as a legal holiday “in observance of the National Day of Mourning for President George H.W. Bush.”

Nov. 29, 2018 -- Approximately 130 Wichita State University students are gearing up for the third annual Koch Innovation Challenge. The five finalist teams will each receive $1,200 toward pursuing their proposed venture, and each student will receive a $1,000 scholarship.

Nov. 28, 2018 -- Despite the wintry weather, students planted new “flowers” on campus this week as part of the Wulip Garden placemaking initiative aimed at creating a unique and inviting environment for campus visitors.

Nov. 15, 2018 -- The Elliott School of Communication honored alumni and current KSN broadcasters Jeff Herndon and Lisa Teachman at the school's “CommWeek,” which is held annually after fall break on the Wichita State University campus. Herndon and Teachman were awarded “2018 Outstanding Alumni” in recognition of their exemplary professional work and personal success.
