March 21, 2023 — The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), a student organization at Wichita State University, is hosting a Mother Daughter Day event for local middle school girls and their adult female role models. The event will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 25 in the lobby of the John Bardo Center at Wichita State.

March 17, 2023 — Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Director Steven Dettelbach and Senator Jerry Moran recently visited Wichita State University to announce plans for a unique new National Forensic Laboratory at Wichita State. The forensic laboratory is a new $75 million facility that will complement the Gun Crime Intelligence Center of Excellence and National Integrated Ballistic Information Network Correlation and Training Center, which were announced last summer.

March 16, 2023 — WSU Tech President and Vice President of Workforce Development at Wichita State University Dr. Sheree Utash testified before the U.S. Senate’s Commerce Committee on Aviation on Thursday about the growth of the aviation industry and the increasing demand for highly skilled aviation workers.

March 9, 2023 — The U.S. Army has awarded Wichita State University’s National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) a $100 million contract to advance and modernize the army’s ground transportation fleet.

March 9, 2023 - Wichita State University will show off its unique cultural and educational assets while welcoming the community to campus during Open Streets ICT - WSU and Shocker Neighborhood on April 16.
