Aug. 4, 2022 - Wichita State University’s Office of Innovation and New Ventures will address technology gaps in the local business ecosystem with the formation of the Small Business Digital Transformation Program. The program is funded with a $1 million grant from the American Rescue Plan Act. The Small Business Digital Transformation Program focuses on small businesses (500 or fewer employees).

July 29, 2022 -- Amazon employees can receive tuition assistance at Wichita State University through the Amazon Career Choice program. Each full-time Amazon employee is eligible for $5,250 of tuition assistance per calendar year. Part-time employees are eligible for $2,625 per calendar year.

July 27, 2022 — Nick Elam, educator and inventor of what is known as the Elam Ending in basketball, will speak at Wichita State University at 5:15 p.m. Aug. 23 in Hubbard Hall 231. The event is free of charge and open to the public.

July 27, 2022 — Wichita State University’s National Institute for Aviation Research and FirePoint Innovations Center host Army Aviation generals and Senator Moran for a new program announcement. 

July 27, 2022 — New members of the WSU Foundation Board of Directors are Don Barry, ’88, managing director at Robert W. Baird & Co.; Mark Finucane, ’76, managing director at Alvarez & Marsal; John Rolfe, ’85 president and CEO of Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce; and Maggie Topping, ’00, senior vice president at Textron Aviation.
