Media invited to Wichita State Master Plan presentation

Feb. 29, 2024 — Media are invited to attend the Wichita State Master Plan presentation from 2 to 3 p.m. March 1 in 110 Woolsey Hall, Frank A. Boettger Auditorium or virtually via YouTube livestream.

Four industry leaders appointed to WSU College of Applied Studies Dean's Advisory Board

Feb. 29, 2024 — The College of Applied Studies at Wichita State University has appointed four distinguished professionals to its Dean's Advisory Board. They are Alicia Sanchez, Amy Williams, Ed O'Malley and Kyle Ellison.

Barton School announces 2024 Jabara Scholars in Entrepreneurship

Feb. 27, 2024 — The W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University has named its two recipients of the 2024 Professor Fran Jabara Scholarship in Entrepreneurship. This year’s winners are Annika Lindeman from Eisenhower High School in Goddard, Kansas, and Abby Rexford from West Jessamine High School in Wilmore, Kentucky. They will each receive more than $32,700 spread over four years to attend WSU and major in entrepreneurship.

WSU's College of Engineering names 11 Wallace scholars

Feb. 26, 2024 — Wichita State University’s College of Engineering has named the latest group of 11 high school seniors to join the Wallace Scholar program. The Wallace Scholarship recipients will receive $30,500 each to attend Wichita State for four years. 

WSU's Barton School launches undergraduate hospitality major

Feb. 19, 2024 — The W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University is launching a Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality. The program will begin in fall 2024 with applications now open for interested students. It was developed in response to growing local and national employment needs in the industry.
