Jan. 8, 2021 - A Wichita State University-based program aimed at aiding frontline workers in the fight against COVID-19 has resulted in the formation of a new Wichita startup company and a premium disposable stethoscope. The Single Patient Stethoscope™ from Ad Astra Medical Devices, LLC, boasts a sturdy, lightweight design engineered for maximum performance in today’s demanding medical environments.

Dec. 18, 2020 -- Wichita State University's Center for Economic Development and Business Research will release the updated Kansas, Wichita, Topeka and Kansas City industry-level employment forecasts to the public at 7:30 a.m. Jan. 5. 

Dec. 10, 2020 - Steven Skinner has been appointed interim dean of Wichita State University's College of Engineering by Interim Executive Vice President and Provost Shirley Lefever. The appointment is effective Jan. 18. Skinner is a professor and associate dean in the College of Engineering. He has been with Wichita State for nearly 30 years and has held other leadership positions including department chair and president of the faculty senate.

Dec. 10, 2020 -- The Kansas Board of Regents has approved the creation of the newest department at Wichita State University’s College of Engineering – the School of Computing. Dean Dennis Livesay called the establishment of the new school a significant marker of the university’s commitment to producing digital-skilled workforce needed by industry. 

Dec. 9, 2020 — The WSU Foundation's seven-year Shock the World campaign raised more than $300 million to fund scholarships and campus improvements at Wichita State University.
