On October 28, 2014 the Epsilon Xi chapter of IEEE-HKN celebrated Founders Day. Conducting the ceremony was Dr. John Watkins, assisted by Dr. Preethika Kumar. During the founders day celebration we took the opportunity to conduct the induction of new members, which also allowed us to re-activate the chapter. The new members include: Nipuna Gomes (President), Saeed Alsaleeb (Vice President), Nimanthi Nandasiri (Treasurer), Anton Hettiarachchige Don (Web Manager), Daniel Gilchrest (Coordination Secretary), Curtis Weis (Recording Secretary), Dr. Visvakumar Aravinthan (Faculty Advisor), Aasheesh Deshmukh, Cooper Colglazier, and Seth Jackson. Upon completion of the ceremony we enjoyed pizza and refreshments along with the opportunity to socialize. It was a very memorable event.
