  • Mr. Satya Veera Pavan Kumar Maddukuri received “Ollie A. & J. O. Heskett Graduate Fellowship” for Spring 2017. This is awarded by Graduate School based on their scholarly/creative work and extracurricular activity in support of the professional community.

2016

  • Mr. Satya Veera Pavan Kumar received “Delano Maggard, Jr. Graduate Research Grant” for 2016/2017. This grant is awarded by the Graduate School to support a graduate student in their conduct research and investigation in their field of major interest.

"A DC-DC controller to increase the operating voltage range will be investigated as a part of this grant. The outcome will lead to the improvement of overall efficiency and effectiveness of solar PV panels. In addition, the proposed controller is able to reduce effect of the large variable nature of Solar Electric systems. This Controller also best fits in the field of Roof top electric vehicle."

  • Mr. Mohammad Heidari-Kapourchali was recognized as the recipient of “Dora Wallace Hodgson Outstanding Doctoral-Level Student Award” for 2016. One Doctoral student from the University is recognized as the outstanding student based on their research achievements.

  • Mr. Thanatheepan Balachandran was recognized as the recipient of “Dora Wallace Hodgson Outstanding Master's-level Student Award” for 2016. One Master's-Level student from the University is recognized as the outstanding student based on their research achievements.

  • Ms. Nimanthi Nandasiri received “Ollie A. & J. O. Heskett Graduate Fellowship” for Fall 2016. This is awarded by Graduate School based on their scholarly/creative work and extracurricular activity in support of the professional community.

  • Mr. Satya Veera Pavan Kumar Maddukuri received Shocker Innovation Corps (NSF I-Corps) award to build a efficent DC-DC controller for Solar Electric Systems.

  • Mr. Anton Hettiarachchige Don was recognized as the EECS Outstanding Gradauting Graduate Teaching Assistant for 2015/2016

  • Nimanrthi Nandasiri was recognized as the EECS Outstanding Gradauting Graduate-Student for Spring 2016
