From live weekly television broadcasts to public relations, there are plenty of ways to get involved, and also, to get plenty of valuable résumé-building experience. PRSSA is a unique organization offering students the opportunity to learn all aspects of PR, marketing, journalism, graphic design, event planning, video production, advertising and more through conferences, panels, workshops and events. Actively build your resume and establish friendships as you go.
Lambda Pi Eta logo. Lambda Pi Eta - LPH is the National Communication Association' s official honors society, with active chapters all over the world. Wichita State's Zeta Eta chapter is committed to recognizing academic excellence, promoting professional development, and acting as ambassadors for the Elliott School of Communication. Lambda Pi Eta recognizes, fosters, and rewards outstanding scholastic achievement while stimulating interest in the communication discipline.
Studio B logo. Studio B - Live TV. No starting over. No chance to fix it before it gets to the audience. Studio B is a live news broadcast for students. It prepares students for the real-world experience of news reporting, anchoring, producing and photojournalism. Every Friday at noon on Wichita State University Ch. 13, students take their places on the set and put their best work on the air.
The Sunflower logo. The Sunflower - The Sunflower is Wichita State's student-run news source. Since 1895, The Sunflower has been producing award-winning news, editorials, photography three times a week. The Sunflower is always on the hunt for new reporters, editors and photographers. Not only is writing or shooting for the sunflower a great résumé builder, they'll pay you for it, too.
Wichita State Debate logo. Debate - The Wichita State University Debate team competes annually in tournaments nationwide with a proven track record of success, including appearances in the National Debate Tournament and CEDA Nationals.
