Graduate Degrees Available Through MCLL
Students interested in pursuing a graduate degree in world languages and cultures have the option of enrolling in our MA in Spanish program, or in our graduate certificates. MCLL currently offers graduate teaching assistant positions in Spanish.

The Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures offers courses of study leading to the Master of Arts (MA) degree in Spanish. This degree program allows for specialization in Spanish language and literature and in Latin American literature.

Spanish Graduate Certificates
The Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures offers courses of study leading to the Graduate Certificate in Spanish for the Professions, and the Graduate Certificate in Hispanic Cultural Studies.
The Certificate in Spanish for the Professions (translation and interpreting) help students develop the skills for working in medical, business, legal, and other professional fields

M.A. in Liberal Studies (defunct)
Wichita State has discontinued the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies degree program.
The Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS) program was designed for people who wish to pursue a particular topical or interdisciplinary interest at the graduate level. The liberal studies program offered students an opportunity to design a program of study to answer their particular needs and interest in a focused, coherent manner.
