Other Psychology Requirements 
  1. A minimum of 31 hours of Psychology
  2. A minimum of 9 hours of psychology taken at Wichita State University 
  3. A minimum GPA in psychology of 2.0 

Courses are designed for: 
(1) Students who elect to study particular aspects of psychology while majoring in other disciplines 
(2) Students who plan to major in psychology, but do not plan for graduate study in the discipline. 
(3) Students who plan to major in psychology and go into graduate study in Psychology. 
       Those planning on graduate study should check with the department office for recommended undergraduate                course sequence for preparation in particular emphases in graduate study. 

Psychology Minor

Any 15 hours of Psychology constitute a minor in Psychology. 

Bachelor of General Studies in Psychology (BGS) 

Total of 33 hours with 15-21 hours of Psychology plus 12-18 hours divided among two other departments one of which must be an LAS department. Each department must have at least 6 hours. 

An application for graduation must be filled with the Liberal Arts Deans Office the semester before you plan to graduate. A senior form signed by the chair of the Psychology Department and the chair of the department in which you have a minor (if you have one) must be filed with the Liberal Arts Deans Office (2) two semesters prior to graduation. 

General requirements: total hours for graduation 124 minimum; overall GPA 2.0 minimum; GPA for major 2.0
