Wichita State offers a variety of scholarships open to both incoming and current students.  Collectively, the academic colleges of Wichita State University award more than $2 million of available scholarships annually. Each college has its own application process and deadline.

Outside scholarships are awarded by civic groups, religious institutions, high schools, and organizations other than Wichita State.  Applications for the following scholarship opportunities and many others can be found on the websites below.

This method allows you to pay your course/semester related fees in installments.  You may enroll in a payment plan online at myWSU.wichita.edu on the myFinances tab, under the Student Account Suite link.  A non-refundable down payment of $100 and a non-refundable administrative fee of $30 are due when setting up your plan.  The remaining balance is to be paid in equal payments over the remainder of the semester.

The Federal Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS) enables parents to borrow on behalf of their dependent undergraduate student.  The amount of the loan may equal the difference in the student’s eligibility not covered by other financial aid, up to the cost of attendance.  The parent is the legal borrower on this loan, which is not based on need, but is subject to credit approval.

The Federal Graduate PLUS Loan for Graduate Students (Grad PLUS) enables a graduate student to borrow the difference in their eligibility not covered by other financial aid, up to the cost of attendance.  This loan is not based on need and is subject to credit approval.  (wichita.edu/gradplus)

These loans enable a student to borrow from a private lender and are not based on need and are subject to credit approval on the student or a credit-worthy co-signer.  The student is responsible for paying the interest from the time of disbursement until the loan is paid in full.

This program helps students become financially knowledgeable and responsible during and after college. Shocker Financial Wellness provides resources like peer coaching, tabling events, and wellness workshops that assist students in managing and elevating their finances.
