Historic Midtown Citizens Association Endowed Scholarship

The Historic Midtown Citizens Association Endowed Scholarship was created by the Historic Midtown Citizens Association in memory of Mr. Jerry Cole, Mrs. Carol Rutledge and Ms. Alma Neises, who were crucial to the creation and continued success of the Historic Midtown Citizens Association. The association’s mission is “to preserve, develop and promote Wichita’s Historic Midtown neighborhood as a unified, vital and desirable residential community.” These individuals applied their special talents, knowledge and skills to many phases of the development of the association and its work.

The scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen or current students who live in Historic Midtown (between 21st Street North and Murdock Street, and between the Santa Fe Railroad and the Arkansas River). Financial need is a consideration.
