The Office of Military and Veterans Affairs was established in June 2020. As a strategic value of Wichita State University, Military and Veterans Affairs exists to ensure that Wichita State University is reflective of the community it serves and strives to promote equity and opportunity for all.
Mission
To provide a seamless transition for our nation's veterans and first responders from military / front-line life, through campus life and into a meaningful career by providing high-quality services and opportunities for academic success, personal growth and professional development. This office maintains external relations and partnerships with national and regional military and veteran organizations, civil communities and corporate/ business entities involved in military, veterans and first responders affairs.

This is critical to the overall strategic growth of the university and the following areas have been aligned under the umbrella this division:
- Army ROTC
- Community Engagement
- Military and Veteran Services
- Wichita State at McConnell
Each of these areas facilitates dialogue between internal and external constituent groups and have long-histories of success. These are critical to the future success of the university and look forward utilizing staff and resources to support expand relationships to support recruitment and retention efforts on campus.
