Scholarships awarded through AGH
Eligible students compete in the W. Frank Barton School of Business Allen, Gibbs and Houlik L.C. (AGH) Scholarship Competition for scholarships in various amounts — including the:
- one $50,000 Clay Barton Scholarship (all business majors)
- one $50,000 Ross Tidemann Scholarship (all business majors)
- one $40,000 Harry Najim Scholarship (all business majors)
- two $36,400 Fran Jabara Scholarships (entrepreneurship majors)
When is AGH?
AGH will be held on campus on Friday, Nov. 20. Students must be present to participate. If you have any questions, please email us at bsb.scholarships@wichita.edu.
To be eligible to compete, you must:
- Be a 2027 high school graduate
- Submit Wichita State admission application materials by Nov. 1
- Submit scholarship materials by 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 8
- Declare a business major
- Meet one of the following criteria:
- Have a minimum unweighted 3.5 GPA, or
- Have a minimum ACT composite score of 24, or
- Have a minimum SAT composite of 1160, or
- Rank in the top 10 percent of your class at the end of your junior year
- See below for additional criteria for certain awards
Additional criteria
- Ross Tidemann Scholarship
- Demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you're unable to complete the FAFSA, please include a statement of financial need in your AGH application.
- Consideration will be given to students who have work experience, as demonstrated on the activities chart submitted with your AGH application.
- Harry Najim Scholarship
- Demonstrate financial need by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you're unable to complete the FAFSA, please include a statement of financial need in your AGH application.
- Consideration will be given to students who show commitment to community engagement, as demonstrated on the activities chart submitted with your AGH application.
