M. D. “Mike” Michaelis, of Wichita, is the Chairman offamily-owned Emprise Financial Corporation. Mike received a bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1968 and a master’s degree in finance in 1969, both from the University of Kansas. Well-known as a Kansas art collector, Mike is known for fostering a vibrant art community. Over the last 50 years, he has amassed the largest collection of Kansas art in the world. Much is displayed at Emprise’s statewide network of banks.
