The economy of Wichita and many of its surrounding communities heavily rely on the manufacturing industry, with many supporting the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) supply chain. The objective of this workshop is to help Wichita area DIB companies understand the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and its impact on their business.
The CMMC Model was created and managed by the DoD to enhance the protection of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) within the supply chain. The loss of CUI increases risk to national economic security and it is estimated that malicious cyber activity cost the U.S. economy between $57 billion and $109 billion in 2016.
