Neuro-Robotics Lab hosted high school research fellowship in bio-inspired exoskeleton project, funded by NSF (Award #1915872) (June 2021).
Neuro-Robotics Lab (PI: Dr. Jaydip Desai) and Biomedical Sensors, Imaging and Modeling Lab (PI: Dr. Kim Cluff) jointly hosted a High School Biomedical Engineering Summer Camp 2019 from June 3-6, 2019
- This year's HS BME summer camp offered eight exciting projects from both laboratories to provide hands on experience to high school students in the field of neural engineering, brain-machine interface, bioimaging, and biosensors.
Wichita Northeast Magnet and North High School Visit on Apr 12, 2019
- NRL has given hands on experience to high school students on brain-machine interface, sEMG signal recording, and assistive robotic limb control for activities of daily living.
Maize 266 High School Visit to Neuro-Robotics Lab, March 1st, 2019
- NRL demonstrated research projects on brain-machine interface, prosthetics and orthotics.
Neuro-Robotics Lab hosted a High School Biomedical Engineering Summer Camp 2018 from June 25-28, 2018
- Camp Director: Dr. Jaydip Desai
- Lab Assistants: Adam Reust (Graduate BME), Bridget Schabron (Graduate BME), Anne Dowling
(Undergraduate BME)
- Students from 10th through 12th grades will get hands on experience on cutting edge biomedical engineering devices to acquire, process and record human physiological signals. This year’s BME summer camp focuses on brain-machine interface, prosthetics and robotics technology used in biomedical engineering. Each session begins with presentation slides to understand concepts behind biomedical principles and then followed by hands on experiments. campers will learn how to build up a setup to control five fingered robotic hand using their muscle signals, how to perform neuroscience experiments using electroencephalography (EEG) technique and how to analyze and record biopotential signals. Campers will demonstrate their project and skills learned from this camp to friends and family at the end.
Neuro-Robotics Lab demonstrates research projects to freshmen/sophomore biomedical engineering students in BME 115 (Biomedical Engineering Seminar) class every semester
- The seminar class students get hands on experience using brain-machine interface, prosthetics, and orthotics devices in the lab. This demonstrate helps undergraduate student to learn more about research activities in the Neuro-Robotics Lab and find their interest in undergraduate research.
