Q: Is the Office of Disability Services (ODS) open?
Yes, ODS is currently open Monday-Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM. However, all appointments will be conducted via phone or virtually (using Zoom) until further notice. If you have any questions or concerns, please email disability.services@wichita.edu.
Q: What happens now that exams are online?
Accommodations will still be given to students for online exams. If you have concerns about extended time for your exam, please contact your instructor to verify that they have made that adjustment prior to the start of your exam. If you or your instructor have any issues with this ODS can help. Currently Testing Services is also open. If you have questions or concerns about Testing Services, you can contact them at 316-978-8378 or testingcenter@wichita.edu.
Q: I currently have a notetaker for my in-person classes. Now that the class is online, will I still receive notes?
Once your instructor decides how they will adapt the course to an online format, please let dsnotetaker@wichita.edu know if you will still need notes. You may find that you do not need a notetaker due to the course design changes. For example, if the instructor prerecords the lecture you would be able to watch it/pause it at your own pace.
Q: With the switch to all online instruction, I anticipate barriers and would like to request new accommodations. What are my next steps?

Once we have your completed intake form, we will email you to set up a Zoom meeting to discuss accommodations.
