Our Purpose, Mission, and Vision
Purpose
The purpose of Veterans Upward Bound is to improve each participant's academic performance, to assist participants in enrolling to a post-secondary institution, and to ensure those participants who do enroll will graduate from their chosen program. Veterans Upward Bound at Wichita State University serves low-income and potential first-generation college student veterans residing in Sedgwick, Butler, Harvey, Reno, Kingman, and Sumner Counties.
Mission
To provide necessary training and support that will enable eligible Veterans to successfully enter college or any other post-secondary institution.
Vision
To improve the quality of life for each Veteran served by enabling them to achieve their highest educational and career potential.
