Is there any cost for EOC services?
No. EOC is a federal TRIO program funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education. As a result, all EOC services are free of charge.

 

Who is eligible to participate in the program?

EOC assists adults, age 19 and older, which meet income guidelines and will be the first in their families to obtain a four-year college degree.

Can EOC help me fill out the FAFSA?

EOC coordinators can assist you to complete and submit your FAFSA on-line. Filling out the FAFSA may seem confusing at first, and we are more than happy to help you fill it out step by step, and apply! Remember, as with all EOC services, this one is FREE too!

What schools can EOC help me enroll into?

We can help you enroll into any accredited 2-year or 4-year college, or vocational/technical school in the U.S. Persons needing to transfer from a community college to a 4 year university should contact the EOC.

Does EOC help individuals pursue their GED?

Yes. EOC counselors interact directly with adult education centers to help program participants obtain their GED. Participants must plan to enter a degree-seeking program.


 

Does EOC help disabled individuals?

Yes. EOC provides services to ALL individuals who are low-income and/or first-generation college students.

Does EOC offer any scholarships?

TRIO does not offer a general scholarship, however, we do offer scholarship search assistance.

If I am over the age of 24, what tax information do I need to fill out the FAFSA?

You will need your previous years Federal Tax Return and W-2's (1040, 1040A or the 1040EZ)

If I am under the age of 24, what tax information do I need to fill out the FAFSA?

You will need your previous years Federal Tax return and W-2's AND your parents Federal Tax return and W-2's (1040, 1040A or the 1040EZ)

Where is the EOC office located?

The EOC office is located in the Wichita State University Eugene M. Hughes Metropolitan Complex located at Oliver and 29th. Enter the building at entrance “N”.

Do other universities sponsor EOC Programs?

Yes. If you are not eligible for participation in Wichita State EOC Program, there are TRIO Programs located throughout the state of Kansas and throughout the United States that you may be eligible for.
