Wichita State Human Resources uses a shared services business model. In the model, each area of the University has an assigned HRBP who is the primary contact for HR services. The HRBP’s are supported by subject matter experts in our centers of expertise (COE). We have COE’s in the areas of total rewards (compensation, benefits, leave), talent management (hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations) and systems and operations (people admin, onboard, banner).

About Human Resource Business Partners
In our HR business model, each area of the University has an assigned Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP).
This allows the business partner to become familiar with the operations and issues in the areas they serve. Your HR Business Partner is a subject matter expert on navigating people and relationships. They have working relationships with other subject matter experts to use as resources.
The Role of an HRBP and how they help Faculty/Staff Leaders at Wichita State
As your primary point of contact in HR the HRBP can provide the Leader guidance on a variety of topics/issues. The HRBP can access our HR Centers of Expertise to utlize deeper subject matter experts to help Leaders meet their goals through effective workforce management.
