Kansas Information Technology Office (KITO)

Does my IT project have to be reported to and monitored by the State of Kansas?  It depends on risk, size, impact, etc.  Please call 316-978-7575 or 7574 to learn more.

Currently, if over $250,000 dollars, yes.  We have trained personnel on KS reporting to help you with your project. It is traditional GANTT or waterfall method with expectation it will be completed and approved by CITO through the Planning phase without any purchases made first.

Please budget for any projects reported to the state the following fees assesses for State of Kansas oversight.

If current proposed law is passed, Spring of 2022 tentatively IT purchases reported to the State of Kansas will depend on Risk.  See link from Project Management Summit 2020 to see typical questions.
