Making an "In-Advance" Reservation Online

Getting Started with the Online Scheduling System:

Go to the Online Room Scheduling webpage.

In the upper right corner, click on "Welcome, Guest" to sign in using your WSU credentials.

Next, under the My Reservation Templates area, select the "book now" option for "Event & Meeting Space".

Navigating the Event & Meeting Space Page:

Date & Time Section:

On the left side of the page, change the date to when you want to reserve the Lightboard Room.

Please note: The system requires you to select a date multiple days in advance. If the date you want to reserve the Lightboard Room does not allow you to select it, you will need to use the In-Person, "Same-Day", Reservation process on the day of your desired session.

Once the date is correct, you can add a recurrence to your reservation, if desired, using the "Recurrence" button.

When you are finished with the Date & Time Section, move on to search for the room.

Let Me Search For A Room Section:

In the "Let Me Search For A Room" section, use the "Add/Remove" button associated with "Room Types" to open the Room Types filter window.

When the "Room Types"window opens, scroll through the list for "MRC - Lightboard Room" or use the search box to type it in.

Select that room type using the selection box next to it's name, ensuring that it displays in the "Selected Room Types" box at the bottom of the pop-up window. Then select "Update Room Types" in the bottom right corner.

You should notice that only Lightboard Rooms now display in the "Rooms You Can Reserve" schedule listed in the main part of the page.

Rooms You Can Reserve Section:

From the list of rooms present, click the plus (+) sign next to the room you want to reserve.

This will open the "Attendance & Setup Type" window.

Indicate the Number of Attendees and leave Setup Type on "As Is/Default", then select "Add Room".

You should now see that the room has been added to the "Selected Rooms" section at the top of your page, and the "My Cart" area in the upper right now indicates 1 item.

Select "Next Step" in the upper right of the page to continue.

Submitting Your Reservation Details:

Once you have pushed the "Next Step" button, the system will move you to the "Services" page.

Lightboard rooms do not allow for additional services, so you will need to select the "Next Step" button again, to move you to the Reservation Details page.

On this page, you will need to fill in your name and the "Event Type", choosing whichever option fits best for your purposes.

Fill in the Organization Details including organization, 1st Contact name, numbers, and email, as well as information for a 2nd Contact if applicable.

Lastly, fill in the "Additional Information" section at the bottom of the page.

Then select "Create Reservation" to complete the process.

Your reservation should now be created and you should receive an email confirmation shortly.
