Academic Mentoring

The goal of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion's academic mentoring is to assist underrepresented students of all years in achieving academic success. These meetings will be scheduled biweekly. The focus of these biweekly meetings and outreach will be to determine any underlying issues and develop a plan for academic success.

Topics can include:

  • Time management
  • Goal setting
  • Note-taking skills
  • Test preparation
  • And more!

Students do not have to be in Promoting Academic Student Success (PASS) to request a mentor. However, they are highly encouraged to enroll in the program.

Meet our Mentors

Our mentors are a source of academic support for fellow students throughout their time at Wichita State University. We work with students to develop effective study skills and strategies on an individual basis, introduce students to academic support services and guide students through short- and long-term planning.
