About CCMFOA
“Promoting Responsive and Responsible Government”
CCMFOA provides a comprehensive support network of professional development resources
and education opportunities for the benefit of its members and the communities they
serve; encouraging competency, integrity, efficiency and accountability in the delivery
of local government services.
More than 170 city clerks from across Kansas gather in Wichita to attend the Institute
and Master Academy each year, participating in sessions on budgeting, communicating
trust, community partnerships, and resiliency. To earn their professional credentials,
city clerks must complete a minimum of 120 hours of continuing education. The PPMC
is proud to support the work of city clerks and their dedication to public service.
Previously, the PPMC provided unlimited training records access. Due to changing software,
we are unable to continue this service model. As per discussion with IIMC regarding
retention requirements, we will be moving to the model below and keeping records for
10 years.
In January 2019, the following guidelines took effect:
Records prior to 2009 will not be available for access.
You will receive one emailed record of your training, and it will be your responsibility
to review it for accuracy and then keep a copy of it for your records. Any additional
records requests will require a $10 fee, per request.
The PPMC will keep records for 10 years based on the recommendation from the International
Institute of Municipal Clerks.
The Public Policy and Management Center (PPMC) at Wichita State University enhances
public service to best serve your community.
Our three service pillars help people-focused communities and organizations make data-driven
decisions:
Research & Program Evaluation: Assisting decision-makers in evaluating the impact of programs and crafting innovative
improvements to meet community and organizational needs.
Talent Initiatives: Helping organizations developing talent by advancing knowledge, skills and abilities
through training, events and association management.
Community Initiatives: Improving public service by empowering individuals and groups to share their voices
and affect positive change in their communities.
