Hazing Prevention Week

Wichita State University observes National Hazing Prevention Week during the last full week of September. This annual initiative includes programs and activities that encourage individuals and student groups to be actively engaged in prevention of hazing and building positive communities within campus.

Hazing Prevention Week 2026 | September 21 - 25

New Member Greek Academy

New Member Greek Academy is an essential orientation and leadership development experience for all new members of the Greek community. During this program we focus on educating our new members on the signs and harms that come from hazing and the resources our campus has available to them to report hazing if that see, hear, or is happening to them. This interactive event is designed to introduce them to the values, responsibilities, and opportunities that come with fraternity and sorority life.

RSO Summit

At the Recognized Student Organization Summit, hazing prevention is included as part of our comprehensive training. The training reinforces expectations for creating safe, inclusive, and compliant organizations and equips student leaders to recognize, prevent, and address hazing behaviors. This training is required for student leaders and occurs in the fall and spring semesters.
