Katie Hornbostel
About Me
Hello! My name is Katie Hornbostel and I am a Senior here at Wichita State University.
I’m from Kansas City, Missouri and I plan on going to vet school after I get my bachelor’s
degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. I am passionate about animal
welfare and rescue work and hope to become an animal shelter specific veterinarian.
During my time at WSU, I’ve been a member of Gamma Phi Beta and did an internship
where I lived at an animal shelter in Pennsylvania doing a program that was in collaboration
with Cornell University’s School of Veterinary Medicine. I love my two rescue cats,
Georgia and Bean, and I currently foster cats for local cat rescue, Save the Kitties.
I work as Student Assistant here in Student Support Services.
