International Students and Tobacco

Tobacco Free Wu & Me is working to build a tobacco-free campus at Wichita State University (WSU).

• There is no evidence that tobacco free campuses limit international student’s interest and enrollment at U.S institutions of higher education.
• There are over 1200 students from 110 countries at WSU.
• Many international students don't start smoking until arriving to the U.S.
• Many students who haven't smoked before begin doing so when they start college.
• Protecting students and preparing them for their future is part of the mission of Wichita State University.
• Now is the time to make our campus safer by protecting domestic students and our international guests.
