Shocker Promise Academy gave me the opportunity for a head start at WSU. Thanks to

Benefits of Shocker Promise Academy
- Make new friends prior to the first day of classes, and connect with incoming Shocker Promise Scholars and current student Shocker Promise leaders.
- Introduces you to people, resources, and opportunities for success on campus.
- Offers an early opportunity to secure a laptop reserved exclusively for Shocker Promise.
- Take Ready, Set, Lead: a three-credit hour college course offered FREE as part of the program. This course is an introduction to the core skills needed to be a successful college student.

- Who can attend: First-year Shocker Promise Scholars only
- Registration Priority Deadline: June 27, 2025
- Final Registration Deadline: July 17, 2025
- Date: August 4 through 8, 2025 (students must attend all days to earn credit in Ready, Set, Lead course)
- Time: 8:30 A.M. - 4 P.M.
- Program Size: Limited availability to the first 80 students; reserve your spot today!
- Freshman Orientation: Student must complete Freshman Orientation prior to attending Shocker Promise Academy. Students can change their orientation date by contacting first.year@wichita.edu
