B2SB is the annual kick off to the new school year. This lively event features a wide range of games and activities like bungee runs, velcro walls and 3-point shoot out. Arrive with an appetite for free food brought to you by WSU Dining, Shocker Sports Grill and Lanes and Highland Dairy.
The school year starts off with a bang as Shockers new and old participate in a crazy week of activities, including late-night outdoor movies, dances and the popular Aloha Beach Party.
This event will include relay races, team sports and a competition between academic colleges to determine who rules the school. Come by yourself or with a group of other new students. Enjoy an afternoon of interactive socially distant fun!
The Involvement Fair is an opportunity for you to EXPLORE Wichita State's numerous student organizations on campus! This is one of the best opportunities to EXPERIENCE campus life at Wichita State.
The annual ceremony of remembrance for those who died in the 1970 Wichita State University plane crash will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at Cessna Stadium. There will be a reception immediately following the remembrance on the Cessna Stadium concourse.
Commencement is WSU's graduation ceremony.
This is our chance to celebrate your years of hard work and dedication to your goal of graduating from WSU! Bring along a few guests and enjoy hors d'oeuvres, champagne toast and door prizes. Attending graduates will receive a commemorative WSU champagne flute following a brief program presented by The Alumni Association and Vice President of Student Affairs.

First-Year Programs in the Office of Student Success invites you to the Syllabus Party from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, in 142 RSC, to pick up free organizational supplies to organize class projects, papers, and exams.
Wichita State University’s Campus Recreation hosts an educational and interactive Wellness Expo every spring. Plan to join hundreds of your fellow Shockers as you receive medical screenings and wellness tips from over 50 vendor booths from Wichita State University departments and around the community.
Academic Convocation is an exciting event that blends our Common Read program with other student learning and engagement opportunities. Faculty awards will be recognized and the event will feature a student speaker and a keynote address.
This event allows organizations around the Midwestern region to show off their ability to step and grants them the opportunity to be named the best step team in the Midwest.
Every semester, the International Student Union (ISU), in collabroation with several other student groups and organizations at WSU, organizes an international food festival called InterFest. During this festival, international students prepare dishes from their native regions/countries/cultures.
The festival showcases ethnic cuising, and for a small price, allows the WSU community and visitors to share and taste diverse food and delicacies. The InterFest has become a very popular tradition. It has also emerged as a fundraiser for participating student organizations.
Join WSU students, faculty/staff, and friends in the Rhatigan Student Center (RSC) courtyard and Shocker Hall courtyard for 2 hours of FANTASTIC FREE fun!
The Cadman Art Gallery remains open during the spring semester of 2021. Current exhibits are on three week rotations with the first exhibit opening on February 1. Please stop by the Cadman to view works by talented student and community artists.
Cadman Art Gallery exhibits are selected each semester by a panel of Wichita State students, faculty and staff. Fall and spring exhibits may each feature up to 16 exhibits in the Main Gallery and the Looking Glass. View the schedule for current exhibits at the link below.
As a 1k / 5k Pumpkin Run participant you will receive a customized T-shirt and a finisher medal. Awards will be given to the top age group finishers and overall winners. Times will have to be verified prior to receiving an award.

Must-do at WSU
The Shocker Support Locker, formally, the Shocker Food Pantry, was founded by the 58th session of the Student Government Association on November 4, 2015. The Shocker Support Locker opened its doors on February 1, 2016 to all Wichita State University students, faculty and staff. The Shocker Support Locker gives students, faculty and staff access to food, clothing, toiletries, and baby/family products. The Shocker Support Locker is coordinated and managed by the Student Government Association.
Wichita State University is partnering with the Wichita Food Truck Coalition to feature a rotation of area food truck vendors weekdays at the Food Truck Plaza. The plaza is located on the Innovation Campus, across the street from the National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR).
Bowling, billiards, and dining operations are all open. Please adhere to social distancing practices and masks are expected. Our full dining menu will be served until 7 p.m. and select menu items (fried appetizers, cold sandwiches and beverages) will be available between 7 - 8 p.m.

Established in 2005, ShiftSpace Gallery earned its name from its early days as a "roaming" gallery. In 2019, ShiftSpace is on the move once again, exchanging its Commerce Street address for a new spot at Groover Labs, at Third and St. Francis in Wichita's Old Town district.
The ShiftSpace Student Group programs the gallery, prepares exhibitions, and engages in community outreach. With the assistance of Gallery Manager Kristin Beal, students take on every gallery role, including curator, preparator, community outreach coordinator, social media manager, and more. The group is open to any currently enrolled Wichita State student.
