Where is Greek Retreat located?

Fraternity and Sorority Life has a great partnership with the Hiawatha Camp & Retreat Center in Park City, Kansas.  Camp Hiawatha is a clean area with a phenomenal staff.  The camp is conveniently located about 20 minutes north of Wichita.

What is the time commitment for Greek Retreat?

Participants need to be available starting at 12 p.m. on Friday, October 11 and they can expect to return to campus by 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 13.  Participants will not be able to leave the camp, unless there is an emergency.

Is there a cost to attend Greek Retreat?

You will pay a $50 deposit.  That depost can be paid by the participant of the organization.  The $50 deposit will be returned to the participant at the end of the retreat.

Are meals provided?

Yes!  Participants will be given 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 2 dinners.  Camp Hiawatha is known for their home cooked meals!  Fraternity and Sorority Life will also provide plenty of snacks to keep participants full throughout the weekend.

What are some activities that we will participate in?

As Greek Retreat is a leadership retreat, the curriculum for the weekend will focus on discovering your own style of leadership and ways that our leadership is impacted or affected by outside factors.  Participants will be able to participate in a variety of group discussions that are centered around leadership and learning.

It's not all work and no play, though!  Participants will be led through teambuilding activities that will strengthen their entire group.  Participants will be given the opportunity to play a friendly game of laser tag to see who is the ultimate champion.
