Processing Timeline/ Payment Information

**For questions regarding your Education Benefit payments, please contact the GI Bill® Hotline at 1-888-442-4551. WSU does not have access to your payment information.**

Please note: During peak processing times, enrollment certification may take up to three weeks for completion by the WSU VA Education Benefits Office. As such, please submit your paperwork as soon as you enroll in classes. Incomplete files cannot be certified until all necessary documentation is received.

After the WSU VA Education Benefits Office has submitted your enrollment certification to the Department of Veterans Affairs, allow 8-10 weeks for total benefit processing by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Benefit payments (apart from Post-9/11 Chapter 33 tuition payments) are made directly from the Department of Veterans Affairs to the student, unless advance payment is authorized.

MGIB-Active Duty (Chapter 30), MGIB-Selective Reserve (Chapter 1606) and the Reserve Educational Assistance Program (REAP) must verify their enrollment each month to receive payment for that month. Your enrollment can be verified starting on the last calendar day of the month by using the Web Automated Verification of Enrollment (WAVE) at https://www.gibill.va.gov/wave/index.do or by calling 1-877-823-2378.

If you have a check mailed, you can expect your monthly benefit payment approximately 14 days after you verify your enrollment. If you have your benefits sent to a direct deposit account, you can expect your payment within 7 days of verifying your school attendance.

Chapter 33/33 TOE (Post-9/11) Tuition and Fees payments will be sent directly to WSU. All sudents will be expected to pay for their tuition or set up a Installment Agreement on or before the semester payment deadline with the Office of Accounts Receivable during Fee Payment of each semester.
