INTERNSHIPS

Students pursuing both undergraduate and graduate degrees in sport management are required to complete an internship requirement as one of the culminating learning experiences in their programs of study. Internships provide students with the opportunity to utilize knowledge gained through their classes, to enhance their portfolios, to network with sport managers, and to take an important step in establishing themselves as practicing sport managers.

Undergraduate sport management students who have obtained senior status (90 credit hours or more), completed the Pre-Internship Seminar and possess a 2.0 GPA or better are eligible for enrollment as an intern. Enrollment in the internship is by permission of the instructor only.

Graduate students must have completed 18 credit hours with an approved plan of study and a 3.0 GPA or better to be eligible for enrollment as an intern. Enrollment in the internship is by permission of the instructor only.
