The Berlin Experience
MGMT 885G: Advanced Strategic Management
The Barton School Graduate Studies in Business Department is excited to again offer students an international experience as part of their MBA degree program.
Students that are in their last 2-3 semesters of their program should consider applying for a special international section of MGMT 885. In this section, Barton School MBA students will work as part of a team with students from the Berlin School of Economics in Berlin, Germany on a semester-long, real company consulting project.
As part of the course, students will travel to Berlin early in the semester to meet with Berlin School teammates and begin the project. Berlin teammates will then come to Wichita to complete the project in late March.
The Barton School of Business is proud to offer this global exchange with the Berlin School of Economics. It is one of the few programs of its kind in both the United States and Germany. We encourage you to take advantage of this unique and life-changing international educational experience.
Why should you get involved?
- is recognized as one of the most unique MBA internation experience programs in the U.S.;
- gives local Wichita area businesses critical information on exporting their products to Germany (32 Wichita companies have participated in the program);
- is not just an international visit -- students actually learn to work in the global workplace;
- provides an internationalization action plan to Wichita and Berlin small businesses.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to combine your education with a real-world, international business experience!
There are several opportunities to learn more about The Berlin Experience.
We are holding a Berlin Experience mixer so interested students can talk to program alumni and faculty. This will be a great opportunity to ask questions and get information about the Berlin Experience. We will also have information about funding your trip.
