Jenna Dolecek '13

Jenna Dolecek is an Open Source Analyst with the UN's Independent Investigative Mechanism for Myanmar, specializing in investigating war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide. With an undergraduate degree in International Area Studies, focusing on Political Science, Russian Studies, and Middle Eastern Studies, she further pursued her passion by obtaining a Master of Human Rights Law and Policy from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from the University of Essex. Throughout her career journey, she engaged in various human rights initiatives, including education and advocacy, humanitarian aid, asylum legal aid, and refugee resettlement. However, it was through international criminal investigation that Jenna discovered her true calling, where her interests in humanitarian law, open source and geospatial analysis, and conflict research converged.

Matt Goad '09, KU Law '12

Since 2014 I have been in-house counsel for SBT Global Car Exporter in Yokohama, Japan. SBT is the biggest player in the Japanese used vehicle export industry, a grey market international trade of vehicles, including cars, commercial trucks, buses, passenger rail rolling stock, and agricultural equipment to markets worldwide, notably Russia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and the United Arab Emirates.  

Aaron Turner '05

Aaron Turner is founder and general manager of Chalice, a niche wine import company based in Taiwan. In 2005, Aaron served as an intern at the American Institute in Taiwan, the de facto American embassy in Taipei.   He holds a Master’s in Pacific International Affairs from the University of California, San Diego with a focus on international management and regional focus on greater China.  He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.

  • Genesis Mercado-Arias (WSU '13) was born in Wichita, KS. She is the daughter of Salvadoran immigrants and is the first in her family to attend college. In 2013, she graduated from Wichita State University with a Political Science degree. She later moved to KC where she attended University of Missouri-Kansas City School of law and graduated in 2019. She is an Immigration Attorney and also specializes in social enterprise and social impact initiatives. In addition to her career in Immigration law, she founded a social impact organization called The Ella Initiative aimed supporting young women in Latin America with scholarships. When she isn't working, she enjoys singing, yoga, and spending time with family.
  • Matthew Agnew (WSU '10) is a Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton healthcare attorney. He represents physician groups, hospitals, health plans, ancillary service providers, and private equity and strategic investors. Matthew works with publicly traded and privately held companies nationwide and advises for-profit and non-profit clients on mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and joint ventures, operational and contracting matters, strategic planning, licensing and compliance, regulatory matters, and data privacy compliance. During his "off-hours," Matthew owns and manages Luminary Behavioral Health with five behavioral health clinics in Kansas, Colorado, and Texas. 
  • Zach Wiggins (WSU '06, KU Law '11). Zach is from Wichita and graduated from Wichita State with a B.A. in Political Science.  After college, he spent a couple years working before continuing his education at the University of Kansas School of Law.  He graduated from KU in 2011.  He worked at Martin Pringle, Attorneys at Law both summers during law school, and took a permanent position there after graduating.  He specializes in business transactions law, dealing mostly with client’s buying and selling businesses and real estate, banking law (specifically documentation of commercial loan transactions), and startup law where he works with entrepreneurs in starting and developing their businesses.  He is a partner at Martin Pringle and is a member of the firm’s executive committee.  Outside of work, Zach is married to Kelly (also a lawyer in Wichita and fellow Wichita State alum), and has two kids, Zoey (age 4) and Piper (8 months). 
  • Erin Nisly  (WSU '16, KU Law '22) Erin is a licensed attorney and works for Reno County Public Defenders in Hutchinson, Kansas. After graduating from Wichita State University with a degree in political science, she began her career in early education and community development in Houston, Texas.  In 2022, she graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law. During law school, she worked for Sedgwick County Public Defenders, Restoring Justice, Kansas Holistic Defenders, and New York County Defender Services (NYCDS).  In her free-time, Erin enjoys reading, gardening, painting, and creating rugs, ottomans, and other home-furnishings.
