All community graduate students are required to complete the following core curriculum.
Foundations in Psychology (12 Hours):
Required:
- 907: Social/Developmental Foundations of Behavior (3)
- 912: Seminar on Cultural Diversity (3)
Two of the following three:
- 904: Biological/Philosophical Foundations of Psychology (3)
- 905: Cognitive/Learning Foundations of Behavior (3)
- 906: Personality and Individual Differences (3)
Research Methods (8 Hours):
- 902: Advanced Research Methods I (4)
- 903: Advanced Research Methods II (4)
Teaching of Psychology (3 hours):
- 911: Teaching of Psychology: Principles, Practices & Ethics (3)
Research (30 Hours Minimum):
- 901: Predoctoral Research (minimum of 10)
- 908: Dissertation
Required Community Core Courses (18 Hours):
- 940: Seminar in Community-Clinical Psychology (3)

Community Practicum (9 Hours)
Community students must complete one year (9 credit hours) of Community Practicum. This does not have to be one continuous year, rather a total of three semesters, nor does it have to be at a single practicum site.

Community Elective Courses
Community students must take additional electives so that they complete at least 90 graduate hours. Elective courses can be taken inside and outside of the Psychology Department in consultation with advisor. Two electives must be related to research methods and/or statistics.
