Important Computer Hardware/Software Support guidelines that is followed by CHP Office of Technology Services:
- Information Technology Services and CHP Office of Technology will not provide support for computer hardware or software purchased outside of the policy and procurement process outlined.
- Purchase of computer hardware (desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, etc.) must be pre-approved by the CHP Office of Technology Services (OTS) to be purchased or reimbursed using state of Kansas funds, regardless of source, including the Foundation.
- Policies are the same for software requests as the university may already hold licenses or may not be able to accommodate required practices.
- Technology or equipment purchased without proper approval by our OTS office will not be supported by IT or technology services.

- Second, requests need to be routed through CHP Dean’s Office business office to ensure purchasing approval and vendor review.

- The university owns property purchased with state of Kansas funds regardless of which unit ordered them, the source of funds, or the budget expense. This includes funds from the Foundation.
