About Undergraduate Research
Students from all majors and backgrounds pursue research and creative activity; undergraduate research encompasses arts, humanities, social and physical science.
Though administration for Undergraduate Research is housed in the Dorothy and Bill Honors College, opportunities for research are open to all WSU students. Student researchers might do any number of tasks, including searching for relevant literature, distributing surveys, interviewing people, conducting laboratory or field experiments, entering and verifying data, analyzing data, writing reports, and so on. Students may begin as early as their first year, and do undergraduate research in their own major or another field of interest.
