Graduate Exception for Half-time Enrollment

Graduate students must be enrolled at least half-time (5 credit hours) to be eligible for federal direct unsubsidized loans.  However, in some cases, a graduate level student enrolled in less than 5 credit hours may be considered as completing half-time equivalent coursework by their college. 

To be considered:

1. Complete this form with your academic advisor.
2. Submit fully completed form to the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships for review.
