Incarcerated Student

You have been identified as an incarcerated student, based on the results of your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). An incarcerated student is defined as serving in a federal, state, or local penitentiary, prison, jail, reformatory, work farm, or similar correctional institution.

Wichita State University does not participate in a Prison Education Program (PEP) as identified in Section 484(t) of the Higher Education Act. Therefore, the Office of Financial Aid is unable to review your application at this time.

If you have been incorrectly identified as an incarcerated student, or if you are no longer incarcerated, please contact our office to determine what steps need to be taken to update your FAFSA so that we may review your aid application.

If you have any questions or require assistance, schedule an appointment with the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships.
