Student Level - Undergraduate
We received your FAFSA, however, Wichita State has you listed as an undergraduate student, but your FAFSA reflects that you intend to be a graduate student.
Until this conflict is resolved, we are unable to determine your eligibility for federal student aid.
How to Resolve the Conflict
If you plan to be a graduate student:
- Ensure you complete the required admission paperwork for graduate school. For more information about admission requirements, visit the Graduate School website.
- You must be admitted as a graduate student to be considered for Federal Student Aid.
If you plan to be an undergraduate student:
- Follow the steps below relevant to your specific academic year.
Log into studentaid.gov and correct/review the following questions on your FAFSA:
- "When the student begins the 2024-2025 school year, what will their college grade
level be?”
- First Year (freshman) - OR -
- Second Year (sophomore) - OR -
- Other undergraduate (junior and beyond)

level be?”
- First Year (freshman) - OR -
- Second Year (sophomore) - OR -
- Other undergraduate (junior and beyond)
Note: Your dependency status may change as a result of updating your FAFSA to reflect your pursuit of an undergraduate degree, and you may be required to add parent information to your FAFSA.
