Undergraduate - Pre-Nursing

My name is Schay and I am a pre-nursing student from the Philippines. I spent the earlier part of my life in the Philippines before moving to Singapore and then to the United States. I am very thankful to have been given the opportunity to live outside of my birth country and experience a new culture. This has opened up my worldview and has fueled my passion for awareness of diversity. In my opinion, it is important to be aware about the world that we live in. The world is getting much smaller and more connected due to globalization. Thus, it is important to gain new perspectives and embrace each other’s differences. I am grateful to have been chosen to represent my nation. I am looking forward to sharing the beauty of the culture, the people and the environment that the Philippines has to offer.
